The above artwork was inspired by two different artworks of Damien Hirst, "The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living"(1991) commonly referred to as "Hirst's  shark", and his series of Spot paintings. 

Hirst's spot paintings inspired my "square painting" because I really liked how Hirst would say each dot in his paintings meant something like an emotion. With that Idea in my mind I made this grid, as green is my favorite color and represents the outdoors and nature which are happy places for me, and the silver being the shiny reflection of a trout cruising through the stream.

Mexican artist Gabriel Orozco's way of transforming everyday objects, like a cutout car in La DS or a ping-pong table with a pond in Ping-Pond Table, into art makes me think that art doesn't have to be solemn or complicated, but a natural extension of curiosity and play. This image is AI generated.

My piece, “Scar Doodles” is inspired by Wangechi Mutu’s style of collage. The juxtaposition in the past that the scars represent and the present that the doodles represent directly reflects a motive that she has employed in past work. This piece relates to art without borders through the largest organ in the body—the skin. My skin was the first border I had ever encountered.

Christan Marclay inspired this series of photos that showcases the passage of time. I photographed as I entered or left my room throughout the day to show how through the nature of time, life changes and moves on a continuous path forward. Yet, while time moves on within these photographs there is still the sense of familiarity where not much had changed within the scenes themselves.

Inspired by Kusama's hallucinatory art, I made my imitation pieces to reflect the pressure athletes may feel while playing their sports, a feeling that the judgmental eyes of the crowd are surrounding them.
