Well, who would have known last year at this time that a pandemic would put the brakes on our everyday life? I was preparing for the 2019 Elmira College Faculty Show held annually in November. I had just framed the images shown here. Some were woven, as a gesture of acknowledgement that every digital image in existence is formed as a grid, so similar to the structure resulting from weaving. These images pre-date my embroidery embellishment of a different image appropriated from my watercolor of a view along the Lackawanna Rail Trail painted the summer before.
